Haystack Rock is one of the most beautiful places to be in Cannon Beach on the Oregon Coast. I was there. It was warm (for the beach in the NW). I miss it already.

Plus... come on peeps! This rock is FAMOUS! Goonies, anyone?

MANY THANKS to Fashion Therapist for showing me how to make my pics bigger! Check her out! MAD Style! Thanks again!

Weight Loss Wednesdays

Hi all~

I am so busy this week that I actually weighted in Monday and saved the news for today!

I had a great week of no gluten (allergic), minimal sugar (obsessed) and fresh fruits, veggies and lean meats. (all organic).

I have been drinking a morning smoothie every morning with banana's, ice and skim milk.  I really need to switch it to rice milk since milk doesn't agree so well with me (I get itchy ears. Weird, huh?)

SO FOR THE BIG NEWS:  I am down another .6!  I usually have a weigh in outfit that I wear (I swear that people giggle at it because it is a pair of leggings and a tank. AS close to naked as I can be at WW!) but on Monday I had on jeans.  Jeans that weigh 1lb!  Can you believe it?  Oh well.  At least I still saw a loss...

Keeping track?  That is 27.4 to go!  My WW leader tries to beat it in my head that slow and steady is the way to go for lasting weight loss, but it can be  a little frustrating...

Happy Hump Day!

I'll make you happy when skies are GRAY.

I have been really loving the color gray lately.  Maybe because it is in my NW roots, but the color is such a great neutral.  It is the best palette for any accent (yes...even you BROWN.  Gray's coming for ya!)  So here are my recent gray inspirations:

We are going to paint Bean's bathroom gray.  I did a gray bathroom years ago in my mom's house and it looks FABULOUS still.  It sets off the crown molding so well.
Bean just bought this as for the bathroom.  He's going to add a free standing mirror to the top and viola... instant vanity!

Hey Gwennie...Nice nails! (and hair, teeth, skin and the list goes on...)

Love Victoria's way of making anything she does "a trend". (Who didn't rock the POB?)

Yes...Yes...This is my creepy hand, but I am wearing China Glaze's Recycle and LOVE it!  I usually paint finger and toes black (not because I am EMO just because I HATE the color red.  It is way too intense of color for me.  I am pretty sensitive to colors and red is one I really stay away from...) Also I have HUGE hands (gotta love those traits from gramma) and don't really feel that delicate colors look right on my MAN hands. So gray is a nice substitute.

SIDE NOTE:

Thanks to Taylor at Auburn not Red for the Blog Award!  It is my first one and it meant a lot to me!  Her blog is full of fun things and she blogs about a lot of cool products and books...So head on over there and check it out!!!

Mad for Monday Plaid 2

Wouldn't it be awesome if I could actually dig up a plaid outfit EVERY Monday?  I seriously don't need that much plaid in my life, but I did see (IDK where?) one blogger's quest to wear the same little black dress every Monday styled differently.

This dress/tunic is flannel and plaid!  (hello 90's!)  It is gathered in the back and makes  my booty look puffy and BELIEVE me I do NOT need the help! :)

Happy Monday!

Everyday Clothes

I have been blog stalking a lot lately (I also stalk my own blog. Does anyone else do this? ;) and noticed that I really never post what I wear on a day to day basis.  I post my "going out" outfits, or "what I want to go out in" outfits.

So I made a decision to start trying to post my daily style.  Your career can dictate what you wear.  I wore this to work today (I am lucky to have a job where I can be so casual).

My job requires a lot of floor sitting.  I mean seriously folks, how is one going to explain things to 1st graders while standing WAY above them?! So  I wear lots of layers so I can stay warm in a drafty classroom and flats to not trip as I am navigating little bodies!

I taught my kiddos about ellipsis (you know the ...) and had them try it out in their writing.  I told them it is my favorite punctuation and misuse and over use it all the time...

I got some of the best writing they have ever done!  Yay Room 142!

Till later...

Weight Loss Wednesdays

I am going to have to start calling this weight loss THURSDAYS because I get home so late from my meetings! But it just doesn't have the same "ring" to it! :)

So.... I am down another .6! YAY! For those of you who are keeping track (and really who is except for me...) that is another 28 to go! So slow and steady wins the race, right? SNORE.

Today before I went to WW I got on my scale at home. I had to reach back to grab something and stepped off with one foot. When I put both feet back on the scale, it had stopped at MY GOAL WEIGHT! It felt good to see even if it was a fluke. It actually motivated me to keep on keeping on (as my bestie Joe Dirt-tay would say).

I had a good last couple of days (eating wise). I have taken to eating a lot veggie soup with chicken in it (a WW 0 point food with a bit of added protein so my banana's Blood Sugar doesn't make me pass the eff out!)

The pic above is me playing with my new camera... I LOVES IT! (thanks bestie who is not Joe Dirt-tay).
